A Minoan decorative vase-painting style with themes from the natural world (mainly flowers, small plants, leafy branches and reeds). It flourished in the late Neopalatial period (c. 1600-1450 BC), originally with naturalistic themes and later with a tendency to stylisation in the context of the Special Palatial Tradition towards the end of the period. Similar floral themes were also particularly popular in other artforms such as painting, metalwork and jewellery.
